Progressing Well on The Strong Nails in 7 Days Book

This new guide about 7 Ways in 7 Days to strong long nails health care book is just so good. I'm very proud of it!

It is filled with all the natural health, diet, beauty step-by-step instructions to save your weak and damaged nails and turn them into strong long beautiful nails!

The cover design is already done, just waiting for the book formatting to be finished and then it will be ready for sale on Amazon and on Lulu.

This is the third book in the "7 Ways in 7 Days to..." natural health and beauty series that I am publishing throughout the year in 2013.

Next in the series is the "7 Ways in 7 Days to Naturally Reverse Wrinkles" which will cover not just how to erase your existing lines but also teach you what you need to do to stop new wrinkles forming.

I want everyone to know how to create their own natural beauty without drugs and chemicals!  All this use of invasive treatments is such a worry.

We all use some chemicals in our beauty regimen, whether its nail polish or hairsprays, but when people start injecting toxins into their face it is simply too much for me to understand!

I've always been a big advocate of using simple and natural and organic products and methods to make yourself feel beautiful and youthful.

Its not as hard as some people may think - so give it a go yourself.  Often your wellbeing and sense of beauty revolves around feeling well and that requires good nutrition.

Here is some information I found on this topic (not from my book) that gives you some idea how straight-forward this is to do.

How to Incorporate Hair and Nail Vitamins Into Your Beauty Regimen

Hair and nails are very good indicators of the general health condition of the body.

Any kind of illness or stress is reflected through the skin, hair and fingernails.

Hair and nails show symptoms such as brittleness, thinning, breaking, and splitting when neglected or when the body goes through extreme pressure conditions.

Even when the body is deficient in essential nutrients, the hair and fingernails shows the signs.

Nutrition is very important for the body. Even though hair and fingernails are just dead cells, they are an important indicator of the general well being of a person.

Nutrition for the body is derived from the food we take.

When the body does not receive the essential nutrients, or if it loses the ability to absorb nutrients from the food it receives, it causes the body to use up internal resources.

This causes weakness in the body parts and is reflected in the skin, hair and fingernails.

In order to have healthy hair and finger nails, it is very important to consume food that contains some major vitamins like vitamin A (produces healthy sebum in the scalp), vitamin C (antioxidant), vitamin E (improves scalp circulation), Biotin (produces Keratin), Inositol (keeps hair follicles healthy), Niacin (promotes scalp circulation) and pantothenic acid, Para-Aminobenzoic Acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 that prevent graying and hair loss.

Of these, vitamin E is found to have a significant influence on the health of not just hair but also skin and fingernails. Most vitamins are derived from food.

The most common food-based sources of vitamins are: citrus fruits, green vegetables, fruits like pineapple, strawberries, kiwi, potatoes, green peppers, cheese, vegetable oils, soybean, raw seeds, dried beans, wheat germ oil, brewer’s yeast, whole grains, eggs, liver, rice, milk, fish, turkey, chicken and red meat.

Other nutrients required by the body are proteins and minerals like iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium and essential fatty acids.

There are several products in the market today that act as essential vitamins for hair and nails.

These are in the form of oils, shampoos, gels, sprays, lotions and creams. These are generally prescribed by specialists but some are also available over the counter.

However, it is better to consult a specialist before using these products.

There are also hundreds of websites that provide information about these products. They can also be ordered online.

There you go!

I'll be back here as soon as the Nail book is published!

The Natural Beauty of Organic Make Up

A growing number of women are turning to organic make up to meet their beauty needs. Awareness regarding the use of toxic chemicals and additives in standard cosmetics has caused many to embrace the natural ingredients found in organic products.

Make up that is made of organic ingredients tends to be gentle on the skin and kind to the environment.

The cosmetics industry generates many billions of dollars each year; however standard production methods are known to be harmful to the environment.

Not only that, toxic ingredients like parabens, fragrances, dyes, and preservatives are damaging to our skin. As a result, women have begun to look for healthier, more natural alternatives.

Mineral make up is a great choice as it is created from minerals that are found naturally in the environment. The use of plant-based ingredients makes mineral make up a great choice for all types of skin, including sensitive skin.

The minerals in this type of make up not only nourish the skin, but they also provide some protection from the sun’s harmful rays. When it comes to mineral make up, there are organic and non-organic product lines to choose from.

Organic make up is another great option for anyone who is looking for a healthy way to bring out their natural beauty. This type of make up is not only gentle for all skin types, but it is also kind to the environment.
The growth of the organics industry has resulted in a lot of choices when it comes to organic cosmetics. These include:

* Organic foundation
* Organic concealer
* Organic eye shadow
* Organic blush
* Organic mascara
* Organic lipstick

The benefits of purchasing organic, natural cosmetics are many. By using ingredients which occur naturally, the products are friendlier to the environment, easier on our bodies, and healthier for everyone.

And now, purchasing organic cosmetics is easier than ever because there are many choices available online.

Some manufacturers even offer free samples so that you can compare different product lines and choose the ones that you like best.

Many women have discovered that bringing out their natural beauty is as easy as using organic make up or mineral make up. They don’t use harmful, toxic ingredients.

Instead they focus on ingredients which are gentle on your skin and easy on the environment. The demand for organic products has led to the availability of organic mascara, lipstick, foundation and more.

You can find these high quality natural cosmetics online and at your local health food or beauty supply store.

Need a quick tip for making your hair look beautiful when it needs a wash?

If you are ever in a real hurry and you think your scalp is a bit too oily, you can take a temporary shortcut to help you out for a few hours, to make your hair look good.

If you have heard of dry shampoos, you know what I'm talking about.  You can also use simple baby talcum powder if you don't have the commercial spray on powder 'dry shampoo'

The concept is simple, you apply a little of this powder to your hair, allow it to reach your scalp where it can soak up any excess oils, then you brush it out. Quick and simple.

There are many scenarios in life where having, and using, dry shampoo can be worthwhile. In this article I will give you some ideas of the convenience of this product as well as some pros and cons in regards to using these types of products.

1. For many of us, our days our very long. It simply isn't practical to run home after work, but before the gym, and then again before we meet our friends out for dinner and drinks. But that doesn't mean your look may not need to be freshened up a bit.

That is where the non water method for hair cleaning can come in so handy. The products themselves are light weight and very transportable so you can keep some in a purse, briefcase or gym bag.

Since you don't need water, all you need to do to make the most out of this product is to duck into the nearest rest room and spend a few minutes and suddenly, your look is fresh and clean.

2. One of the biggest pros, is what has been listed in the point above: convenience. You don't have to invest time to washing your hair. Of course, most of us (women at least) know it's not the washing that takes the time it's the drying and styling afterwards that is so time consuming.

So, being able to get the "just washed hair" look without the investment of time is a really nice time saver during the day. That is the biggest pro about this product.

3. The biggest con is the fact that this is only a short term fix. It just isn't the same as actually washing your hair. It is a great stop gap until you have more time, but it won't replace your daily or twice daily shampoo's.

There can also be the argument that your hair isn't really clean after a dry shampoo even though it may look and smell clean.

Some people may have a problem with this. They may prefer to invest the time and know that their hair is actually clean as opposed to just "freshened".

One other point in the "con" column is the fact that you need to be careful about allergies to a certain product that may result in a rash or sensitive area on the scalp.

Also, this product is a case of more may not be better. If you apply too much you may just look worse. It may leave a dusty residue on your hair or scalp that may make your hair look even dirtier than it did before you started!

Using dry shampoo can be a helpful time saver between shampoos but I would recommend that you try a few brands first to see which ones you  like and make sure they don't irritate your scalp. Also, knowing how much to use is important so you may want to give it a dry run at home where you can rinse it out if you need to.

NOTE:  This tip has nothing at all to do with the content of the book I have just written.... it is just a quick hair tip I posted to the blog today in case you found it useful.
